Just Get Fit

Project Type

Social Media, App UX/UI, PDF Workout Guide

Role

Lead Designer & Illustrator

Year

2019-present

Tools Used

Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

I started working with Nikki from Just Get Fit in 2019 to create her very first 12-week workout guide. It came in the form of an interactive PDF that included printable checklists to make it easier for participants to track their progress. This successful project led to the creation of three more guides over the years.

By 2022, our collaboration evolved as I became the UX/UI Designer for her fitness app. I worked hand-in-hand with developers to bring the app to the App Store and Google Play, while also helping drive engagement through social media advertising.

Creating guides for every environment

Our partnership kicked off in 2019 with the launch of a Gym Guide, which saw a fantastic response and high engagement from her client community on Instagram and TikTok. Building on that momentum, we expanded the series to ensure her training style was accessible anywhere. We’ve since successfully developed and released specialized guides for Home, Banded, and HIIT workouts, creating a comprehensive digital suite that helps her clients hit their goals regardless of their equipment or location.

Where we started our journey

You can find the full 12-Week Gym Workout Guide we published back in 2019 here. It includes Progress Sheets that were also sent in a separate document, making it easier for the customer to print them out. There's extensive knowledge on nutrition and of course the 12-week workout program itself with additional information on rest, structure and fitness terms. We adapted new colour themes for each new guide according to the colour you can see on the covers.

Updating the Guides to an App

Building on the success of the PDF guides, we took things to the next level in 2022 by beginning work on a dedicated Just Get Fit mobile app. My goal was to streamline the user experience, so I handled the full UX/UI design to ensure Nikki’s clients could access every workout guide with just a few taps. I worked hand-in-hand with the development team to ensure a seamless build for both Google Play and the App Store, creating a polished, high-performance tool for her community. To make the app even more inclusive, we later integrated a specialized Pregnancy section, providing tailored support for mamas-to-be throughout their fitness journeys.
