Collaborating with Kara Yoo, an established jewelry designer based right here in Vancouver, was a wonderful creative opportunity. I had the pleasure of designing a series of custom posters to highlight two of her distinct collections: Vessels and the Ocean Capsule. The goal was to capture the unique aesthetic of each line, translating her beautiful metalwork and delicate designs into a visual format that complemented her brand’s sophisticated identity. It was a great process of aligning clean typography and minimalist layouts to ensure the jewelry remained the true focal point of every piece.
About the Project
Ocean Capsule
The Ocean Capsule collection features a playful aesthetic inspired by the rugged coastlines and stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. My poster designs were crafted to let that natural inspiration shine through, highlighting the unique textures and shapes of the jewelry.
Vessels
The Vessels collection draws its inspiration from the traditional Korean gourde, a meaningful symbol of abundance, protection, and renewal. I focused the poster designs on showcasing the collection’s distinct organic curves and sculptural forms to honor that cultural heritage.
